I've been trying to find a way using Twitter Advanced Search to return retweets made by a certain user. I'm trying to use a 3rd party tool called Twools to pull just retweets using a search. I've tried using this query, but it doesn't seem to return any retweets. from:username include:retweets
Search for something in the search tool bar and click on the more options tab on the result page and then choose advanced search. Enter the Twitter account into the "from account" field and make sure the "include retweet" check box at the bottom is unchecked. Search and then it returns all tweets from the account without any retweets included.

Unfortunately, as of June 2024, it's no longer possible to search within other users' likes on X (formerly known as Twitter). This change came about due to a privacy-focused update announced by X Engineering (@XEng) .
11. I'm trying to figure out a way to use Twitter Advanced Search to find only tweets containing polls. Ideally, there should have been a designated filter operator like filter:polls but it doesn't exist. Any ideas on how to do it in another way?
Say you have a saved search on Twitter. Is there a client that will allow me to export the data contained in that search into an Excel spreadsheet? I am wondering if this will somehow involve the functionality Twitter provides of letting you subscribe to an RSS feed of a search. Is there an RSS reader that would do the exporting I'm looking for?
While searching twitter for rather generic terms, returned search results include bio-names and handles of users. How to filter those fields from search results? For example: Searching latest tweets containing word 'Squawk' mostly returns usernames+handles containing the word 'Squawk' or mentioning/replying to such usernames+handles.
You can now do this through the web interface of Twitter.com. When you search via the webapp, the results will show a filter of users between. Top / All / People you follow. By default the results will come back filtered by Top. Select People you follow to filter search results accordingly.
