It seems like every angle of dance moms and the spin off shows are pretty toxic in hindsight. There was a bunch of controversy cause they would weigh their dances, they did it on tv. A bunch of them ended up with eating disorders as a result. There have been countless nasty allegations about that studio.
Season 3 for sure just because Abby thought she could be awful to the girls and moms and still have fans, which she did, but watching it was..not good. The show started going downhill during season 3 but I would say season 5 is when things took a turn for the worst. Abby’s behavior was at its lowest.
