The optimum looks to be the same pool as the radiant (same wall design), but is less expensive. The install was for a 24 foot round, 22" in the ground, vermiculite pool base, stone backfill. $13,600 (sorry it wasn't broken down). My install didn't include the concrete collar bc it was less than 2 feet in the ground.
We were hoping for a freeform pool with an auto cover and pavers for coping and a paver patio to go with our existing paver patio. I am struggling to find a landscaper that has ever placed pavers for coping around a freeform pool, everyone including the pool builder is recommending concrete for 12 inches for the coping and then starting pavers.
They cant even place my order yet. 24 round, 10,000 for kit, 12,000 installed. More if you want it in ground 12x24 Rectangle, 12,900 kit, 18,900 installed. More in ground I didnt get pricing on freeform but would imagine it 3-4k more than the rectangle. Also, both step options are 4k here.

IMHO 16 x 32 is way too big. Our pool is 10 x 20 and is the perfect size. It is easy to keep clean and cost less to upkeep. This is a pic of some of our closest friends, ages from 3years old to 70+ years old. I lost count at 25 people and as you can see there is a lot more room for more people.
Background: I have a IG freeform gunite pool with an A&A infloor cleaning system (IFCS). I've managed keeping my water and pool crystal clear with this set up, however I still understand that the IFCS doesn't scrub the plaster, hence I manually brush the entire pool about 2x per month.
