Your Lie in April, is so good that it's in my top 5 favorites. Me too. Definitely my top 10, I'm too heartbroken to say it's my fav of all time though. We'll sob together, bud. I finished last week, went into thinking "Wow, this looks like a nice musical comedy. Seems pretty light hearted".

So Your Lie in April is the first and only anime I’ve watched and I’m looking for some stuff that’s similar. My favourite parts of YLIA were the music (both the actual music and the focus on music in the story) and the emotional aspect throughout, not necessarily just the hard hitting ending.
