   And its works good but is no chamber sealer. I had to replace the vacuum port seals but that may have been my fault. I left the lid closed and it smashed/compacted the seals. We processed 200lbs of fish without even stopping. From what ive gathered there just chinese copy cats. The 500 i have is like the weston 2000 series of vacuum packers.

   Agree 100%. Get a chamber vac sealer. Rarely get bags that don’t seal properly. Here is a clue, you can vacuum pack water and it will seal.

   I have looked that site over and it appears the cheapest retort capable sealer is $1800 (MVS-20) and the chamber is quite a bit smaller than the VP215. The next jump up to get to the larger chamber is the Mvs-26x at $2395 plus the cost the sealing bar upgrade to do retort bags . Unfortunately both out of the budget.

   I picked up a VacMaster VP215 chamber vacuum sealer that was used one time for $350.00 on OfferUp. (We call it the bulldozer cause it’s heavy as hell, but performance wise there’s no comparison. It lives on the countertop on the boat during tuna season.)
