Athena is a British art retailer and retail chain, which was founded in 1964.Today it sells fine art prints from a variety of UK artists. However it is best known for its iconic posters such as L'Enfant (a picture of a muscular man cradling a baby), The Lord of the Rings from 1976 by Jimmy Cauty, [1] the Tennis Girl poster from 1976 [2] and "Beyond City Limits", published in the 1990s.
German Art Nouveau is commonly known by its German name, Jugendstil, or 'Youth Style'. The name is taken from the artistic journal, Jugend('Youth'), which was published in Munich. The magazine was founded in 1896 by Georg Hirth, who remained editor until his death in 1916. The magazine survived until 1940.
The world's first film poster (to date), for 1895's L'Arroseur arrosé, by the Lumière brothers Rudolph Valentino in Blood and Sand, 1922. The first poster for a specific film, rather than a "magic lantern show", was based on an illustration by Marcellin Auzolle to promote the showing of the Lumiere Brothers film L'Arroseur arrosé at the Grand Café in Paris on December 26, 1895.

Art on the Underground, previously called Platform for Art, is Transport for London 's (TfL) contemporary public art programme. [1] It commissions permanent and temporary artworks for London Underground, as well as commissioning artists to create covers for the Tube map, one of the largest public art commissions in the UK.
