A fake png will have that checkered background and is probably a jpg or something. A real PNG will be a .png, so right click it when you search it and “open image in new tab”, good way to check. There are a couple good ways to make any image transparent. Adobe Express, Photoshop, Photopea, all work pretty well.
Run a windows virus scan. Download Malwarebytes, run it, see if it finds anything. Download Hitmanpro, run it, see what it says (Use the 30 day trial). Check your privacy setting in google chrome to see if any sort of plugin or notifications setup has been implanted. Then on chrome, install Ublock Origin plugin.
YouTube Sucks. Drama. Youtube used to be a place where actual thought and quality went into making videos. Dont get me wrong, there is still some good content out there… but its being buried from shit copy and paste videos. YouTube Shorts is a big contribution to the dumpster fire. Youtube needs to separate or give an option to disable shorts.
Store and save the image file. Set permissions on the file. Since the image is being saved the Windows network share may be causing issues on the permissions step. It'd be worth checking the application log. Should be at www/laravel.log within the folder that you've mounted /config to.
