    +1 for AMU. I attended AMU and am satisfied. It is not a flagship university but it ticked the box and was accepted by the employers in my industry. I have never had anyone question its validity or the fact that it is a for-profit university. Generally speaking most of the instructors were responsive and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise.

    I think APU is a good college system. If a private college that offers distance learning is your goal, personally I would go with a school that focuses on behavioral sciences. University of the Rockies (former Colorado School of Professional Psychology) is one option.

    The entire school is known as the American Public University Sytem (APUS). AMU was started by a military member (USMC Officer) for the military. In some ways, the military population is a preselected customer base with good benefits and a better than general population academic record (must be HS or GED).
