    I have the same issue with mine - the microphone works fine with Siri, Front and Rear facing video, but doesn’t work in calls on both speaker and earpiece, FaceTime & voice memos records a flat line and plays a cracking sound. I am thinking it is the bottom microphone that isn’t working, and am hoping it is not logic board.

  11. Its caused by a bad simcard connection. Do this, open the back of the phone. Make call to another phone and put that speaker on. While calling , press down on the back of the circuit board where the sim card lay, right where the clear plastic tab (to remove the battery is) and press down on that.
