When getting rates from Hotwire.com it says unlimited miles are included, but with no mention any area restrictions. When I called a local Enterprise their unlimited miles was only good states as far south as Maryland. For rentals that go farther than that, you only get 100 miles a day, and $0.35 a mile over the 100.
I have driven a weekend 3 day rental over 1,000 miles through 4 states and didn't even have a question when I checked in. California to Nevada and Arizona shouldn't be any problem with unlimited mileage, but Thereuare IS the expert so follow the advice from the Board before bidding PL. I am thinking about renting through priceline for an out of state trip. I understand Priceline offers unlimited mileage but I was wondering if out of state driving is included or if you have to pay extra? Thanks.
The milage is unlimited. However, if driven out of the three state area then the rate is applied at $0.35 per mile over 100 miles per day. It's a 7 day contract so I'd be charged $0.35 for everything over 700 miles.

Renting a car through Hotwire is no different than renting directly from the car rental company, as far as insurance is concerned (unless your direct booking uses a specific negotiated rate that explicitly includes insurance).
