  2. What is the difference between a 35W and a 35M? | RallyPoint

    www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-the-difference-between-a-35w-and-a-35m

35W isn’t an actual job. It’s an entry MOS. A soldier enters as a 35W. Goes to DLI after BCT. If the soldier successfully completes the language course, he/she will go on to the 35P AIT at Goodfellow AFB. If the soldier doesn’t successfully complete the course (and remains in good standing), he/she will go on to the 35N AIT at Goodfellow AFB.

I am thinking about enlisting in the Army as either a 35P or 35M. I have been interested in Military Intelligence and the IC since I was young, and it is my ultimate goal to work in that field for an agency one day. My background is clean and I am willing to work my ass off to achieve my goals. Both 35M and 35P are attractive MOSs to me. I like the language training aspect that seems to be ...

I'm going to AIT soon. I am a future soldier shipping to Fort Sill on July 7. After I have completed that, I go to Fort Huachuca for AIT in MOS 35M. The thing about it is that I, in all honesty, know very little about this MOS. I mainly picked it because I qualified for scoring well enough on the DLAB. Anything helps!

Take your DLAB (language test) and go to Defense Language Institute (DLI). Sets you up for more success if you choose to get out. If you're airborne, you may get lucky and get assigned to an SF Group. There are certain courses in our MOS that opens to the door for you to be assigned G2 shops at Corps level and higher.

  6. Should I do 35M or 35L?? - RallyPoint

    www.rallypoint.com/answers/should-i-do-35m-or-35l

I will say that 35Ls and 35Ms often do a very similar job in regards to collection operations (both 35L and 35M utilize HUMINT tradecraft to conduct versions of source operations). However, 35L's also have a very large investigative role as well (35M's have no investigative authority). So just ask yourself this: Do you want to just focus on ...

  7. What is the DLAB score requirement for MOS 35M/35L?

    www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-the-dlab-score-requirement-for-mos-35m-35l

SFC (Join to see) Posted 3 y ago. As SSG (Join to see) said it is a 107 DLAB score. The reference is DA Pam 611-21 Chapter 10c. 35L does not require a passing DLAB because it's not a language based MOS, but it is a language enhanced MOS so they sometimes like you to have a DLAB. Vote up.

I am a current 35F stationed at fort hood. I was a prior service infantry marine and I was also in the national guard. I have a degree and law enforcement experience. My question is whether 35M or 35L has the most or best options post military career. I am interested in both , but prefer HUMINT. However the lack of stateside opportunities with 35M worries me and that is why 35L is appealing. I ...

Google the Army COOL (Credentialing Options Online) and it will break down each MOS and what different fields they can go into. Having been a 35M for over 14 years and a previous SIGINT guy, my money is on 35M. Fs are stuck inside a building without windows more often than not. Ls aren't actually intel.

  10. Any information on the new MOS 35W? - RallyPoint

SFC (Join to see) Posted >1 y ago. It looks like they will just rename it. It happens sometimes. In this case 35M doesn't require everyone to be language certified but it looks like 35W will. It's an administrative change that will allow the branch to force people to go to school or get out the MOS when they shut down 35M. (3) Comment. Vote down.
