I'm not sure why the desktop app is so much worse than these other apps. I've been testing it on both the PS5 and the PS4 and every game is a stuttering mess. The PC app won't even stream the base PS4 in 1080p, only 720p. PS5 streaming is extremely pixelated and laggy.

I find the remote play app works pretty well on an iPad. If you get a kickstand it's basically a lap tv. The Backbone controller for iPhone is amazing as well. I understand mobile isn't ideal for everyone, but as a fellow gamer with a young kid I find it to be the only way to squeeze in gaming in those precious free moments in the day.

I tried out remote play on PS5 this morning using an iPhone 11 running iOS 14.1 and the Razer Kishi. It works great! The home button even works; on Xbox remote play, the home button on the Kishi doesn't work so I have to touch the screen to press the home button there.
