    Recently after the new update, I have tried finding other online players on a world in the overworld using locator maps. They are around 100k blocks away. My locator map only shows me the direction of other players that arent as far. The people 100k blocks away arent wearing mob heads. Why cant i see the direction they are in?

    I believe your locator map issue is with one of the add on developers, not mojang? The issue you're talking about isn't a general minecraft wide issue but specific to you and the add on you are using. Playing the vanilla game doesn't cause that issue so perhaps you should peruse that particular developer for help.

  5. A stupid way is to mark your coordinates, then /tp to other player, mark the coordinates and /tp back to your original coordinates. (Only if you are allowed to use /tp.

  6. 1. you most likely cannot see players on the map because you aren't using a locator map. By default when you create a map it will no longer show your location or player locations. If you combine the map with a compass in the crafting table it will become a locator map and give these player locations. Share.

    1. You need to get your map to level 4 to see your X and Y location, but you can see your player indicators (little arrow looking thingies) with level 3. Also, to get more visibility on it, just walk around with it out. Share. Improve this answer.

Notice there isn't a player icon (which should be near the top left corner, as that is where I am): On this image I found on the web, there's a little white circle (kind of in the bottom middle portion of the map) that shows where the player is. I can't see mine on my game.
