At this point, if I look at the map on 1, the three around Nevesk are blank and those two dungeons to the east have a dot. On the map for 2, the three surrounding Nevesk (the ones that character has not done yet) have the dots and the two in the east section are blank. All others still show white chests. I admit, that's purely anecdotal evidence.

So, the Diablo 4 map is pretty big. However, it "only" covers about 2/3rds of the eastern continent. I'd say since the game seems to be getting quite popular, expansions are likely especially with how the game has been handeled similarly to an MMO and that they said themselves that they will continue to push out content.
Player position will always stay centered and so it's just a matter of matching the snapshotted minimap frame to the exact same position of the map that updates at a similar frame as the snapshot. Am I totally off base? Mostly I'm interested in how you are "finding" the start position to give x y coordinates to the offline map.
Map layouts are Pseudorandom, the main features of a map never change, the details do. For example Aldurwood = always 3-way Crossroads with three figure 8-like areas. Which is why it became a habit to scan the map every 20mins or so at the beginning. Now I use diablo4.life wither on a separate screen or my phone. The inly way for the countdown timer to be on your screen the whole time until the boss spawns is if you are in the event area already.
