DF said that the gpu in the Pro compares to a GPU that costs around $600 bucks. I recently spent $150 on a 2 TB Western Digital Black SSD for my PS5 Slim. Those two components, which are in the Pro, alone cost more than the PS5 Pro’s asking price (in US). Again, our beloved hobby is getting very, very expensive.

Sep 11, 2024. #157. People here believing it doubles the performance of a ps5 will have a rude awakening. Last of us 2 runs at 40-50 fps in quality mode on ps5 thats native 4k. A console with 45% more power will lock that too 60. far from double. Its physically impossible.
Look at these two configurations. One of them folks are pissed about. The other, I doubt they would be very much at all. -PS5 Pro, 2TB SSD, No disc drive, $699. -PS5 Pro, 1TB SSD, Disc drive included, $699. If that second choice would have been offered up yesterday then I would have no complaints.
10 minutes ago. #33. Yes, although I'm not sure about getting it at launch. I got a new PC last fall but improved native PSVR2 and whatever is on the PS+ catalogue might still be worth it for me. With the Nintendo Succ coming not long after launch, I might end up waiting until the launch of GTA VI to make sure there's a worthy use for the Pro.
