I got this email from this website that says one of my schools is participating in the AACP-facilitated pilot program for performing criminal background checks on conditionally accepted applicants. I wanna make sure this place is legit before I enter any information into their website.

I input my AADSAS ID, DENTPIN, Last Name, and City of Birth when prompted, and it spits out "Your access information is currently not on file with ApplicationStation." I'm stuck on an endless loop of this. Is anyone going through this too? Did anyone actually complete this application entirely...

I am confused by this statement on AAMC: "If you have submitted an AMCAS application to a criminal background check participating School, you may obtain a preliminary background report prior to the request and release of the background report to participating institutions by visiting Application Station and entering the code CERTAP2019."

How long the background check takes will depend on your background and whether you've lived in many places and/or have had different names. It'll obviously be harder for them to find criminal records for someone who lived in Mexico for 10 years than for someone who was born and raised in suburbia, USA. Jan 22, 2017. #9.
