My two most expensive Harbor Freight acquisitions have been a 30 ton log splitter and a Plasma Cutter.. Both have worked great except the OEM return oil filter on the log splitter clogged pretty early, I suppose from manufacturing crud left in the system, found a Purolator car oil filter that fit and all has been well since.

Harbor Freight also sells some pretty darn good tools which give the high end brands a run for their money … but they do cost more than their entry level/disposable tools Yep, especially their generators which often come from the same factory as the "name" brands.

Has anyone here purchased and used the 15KW PTO generator from Harbor Freight? I would like to hear your thoughts before I buy one. I have used the IMD brand during hurricane Gustav and was very pleased with it but would rather not pay $2500 for one. $1100 sounds much better if the quality is reasonable.

Has anyone had experience with Harbor Freight's 15,000 watt Chicago Electric PTO Generator advertised in link below: - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices If so, how would you rate it. The price looks good. I have a Kubota B7100 and a John Deere 3005 to run it, so understand that I could not get the full 15,000 Watts.
