Update: I had no problems installing VMware Workstation Pro 17.6 on the following 15 year old computer: MBD: ASUS M4N82 Deluxe. CPU: AMD Phenom II 960T (4C/4T) RAM: Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 8GB (4x2GB) O/S: Windows 10 Home (64-bit) Note I haven't created any VMs on it yet so can't say how well it will perform.
