Thanks for your post in forum. Sorry for late response because I was an out of office. Regarding your description, currently it is not possible to change default path to save attachment in Outlook. For workaround, click on attachment and we can select download folder for saving an attachment.
I purchased a new Surface and downloaded Office from Office 365 website. I had Office 2016 on my old device, but now only Office 2019 is available for download. Outlook 2019 is not compatible with my version of Exchange 2010, so I need Outlook 2016. Where can I download the Outlook 2016 installer? or even the entire Office 2016 installer?

Outlook has been unable to download images for awhile now. I tried changing settings in the trust center, setting pictures to download automatically, and uninstalling a Windows update that was known to cause issues with Outlook (I cannot remember the name). After doing all this, the pictures finally started downloading.

Try looking at the upper right of the new version and see if it says "Try the new Outlook", if it does make sure that it is turned OFF. I did this and it then gave me the old interface which allowed me to have non-Outlook accounts etc. Hopefully this will work for all struggling with the new version which simply no longer allows much to work.
