So, that just really means you will not receive any updates at all, if you refuse to go higher OS version. If you choose to replace battery with Apple, they might force you to upgrade to latest OS.

The 12 mini is an excellent iPhone, with the 13 mini bringing further refinements, thats probably the best way to summarise it. So slightly better camera, screen brightness, noticeably better battery life, reduced notch size, 128 Gb base storage and slightly faster, more efficient A15 chip.

That was my concolusion after playing with scanning creditcards, with my 12 pro. It also makes sense when pointing it to a payment terminal. Yes, it is up near the top edge of the phone. I learned by paying with the phone. I like those credit card machines that have the target encircled with flashing LEDs best.

The logic board is smaller this year, meaning less area to dissipate heat. The modem is now right under the A15 processor which adds even more heat.
The 12 mini has the best battery life of them, up by about 10%. At the end of a normal day, going to work (for 8 hours plus 2 commuting) in a brick building with terrible cell reception, dozens of teams and iMessages, scrolling through twitter and phone calls, I'm still around 55%.
