Meanwhile, the first 5 ingredients of the Purina ONE I was feeding them before include: Chicken, brewers rice, corn gluten meal, poultry by-product meal, wheat flour. Although its a "more expensive" food, is Science Diet necessarily a "worse" food because it's main ingredient is by-product, whereas Purina ONE's main ingredient is real chicken?
It's being reported through several venues that cat owners are seeing their cats sicken and (in some cases) die while eating Purina One cat kibble. The initial symptoms seem to be vomiting, lack of appetite, increased thirst, and diarrhea, eventually progressing to intermittent weakness of back...
I think Cat Chow Naturals is better. And it costs less, which is a good point, too! Purina ONE Beyond is better than both of those, but costs substantially more. If you have to go with a Purina ONE formula, use the kitten kind--it has more meat. But still has by-products.
I switched to Purina One Indoor Formula dry cat food about a year ago and had never experienced any problems with it. However, in the last week, my cat started acting unusual, lethargic, wanting to be alone.

Alright, so I'm attempting to be more nutritiously conscious with my babies. They get 1/2 a can of Authority Kitten 2-3 time a day. For a free feeding dry, they have been getting Purina Kitten Chow. Today, I noticed that there is a Purina One Healthy Kitten formula in the store. Beside being a...
Last week when the food ran out and I had 1 day to go til pay day, I had to buy a small bag of Purina One Beyond at the grocery store. It didn't result in any poo problems from the IBD cat, which got me wondering if it would be a good option to either mix in or alternate with Blue. Large bag is about $12 cheaper than Blue.
(Purina's dry food wasn't cut properly and they sent me something for a free bag). Each cat is an individual and we can't know if there's an underlying condition going on that the food is aggravating in those cats (meaning the food is no longer suitable for those cats).
