Then I continued playing my game for a few minutes, saved, went back to edit town mode, and retrieved my sim that I had placed in another home ...
IT SHOULD work. The Sims 3 game should be added to your Origin Game library. Make sure you haven't registered it anywhere else. After making sure that all Sims 3 expansions etc have been uninstalled, and you have added them all to your origin games library, begin installing them. After there done installing, you can play Sims 3 again!
I also noticed in the mod scripts found pop up that it is detecting old mods I deleted and still not showing the new ones. This is very confusing, and I don't know where to start. I would start with renaming your the sims 3 folder to something like the sims 3 old and then starting the game, and let it generate a new fresh folder.
So either you actually do have 2 cards or you do have a driver problem or Hardware problem with the card, That and the fact you get BSOD and those livekernelevents all points to a problem, So you can rule out any game problem or a problem with the card and the game not recognising each other.
