T1 for 75 years. Sep 2, 2007. #3. Breyer's Carb Smart ice cream is the only kind of ice cream that I have eaten for 5 or more years. At first it tasted very different from previous sugar-free ice creams I had eaten. I adjusted after a couple of weeks and then I loved it. Butter pecan is my favorite flavor.
The New Breyers Bar are marked Low Fat but have 22 carbs per bar. They have several kinds but the others are higher. The carb smart was 9 carbs with 4 fiber so 5 net carbs and it didn't raise my bg. I tried the Carb Smart ice cream in the tub but it did spike me, because I probably had more than 1/2 cup.
Found Breyer's Low Carb Ice Cream at Hy-Vee in Des Moines, IA. It claims only 4 net carbs per 1/2 cup serving. I ate some on a fairly empty stomach, tested after 2 hrs, and bgl was 98! I have been waiting for this for so long. Made a root beer float today with two scoops of ice cream. Test was stil in low 100s 2 hours later. I have found it!

Throw some cottage cheese or ricotta cheese and some heavy cream in a blender. Add some frozen berries and a little Torani or Davinci sugar free syrup ( it comes in tons of flavors). Blend until mixed. You can also make it with a little sugar free pudding. You can check out Linda's Low Carb, she has tons of desserts.
