Amp is Asian massage parlor, as in there's typically a massage / spa store front. Aamp is Asian apartment massage parlor(?), where it's an apartment in a complex with usually 2 to 3 girls working in their own bedrooms. Amps generally goes through the typical massage before asking for the "flip" where you and the provider negotiate what services.
Once i went for actual massage to this type of place. The mid 30s asian lady was nice & beautiful & extremely shocked when she figured out i want only massage.shecwas scared & eventually denied the service 🙄
After I paid the fee for the "massage" ($50) I was led to my room. It had a regular bed (not a massage table) and a small sofa. The girl was Latina, from Honduras more specifically I found out later. Initially, I though she was half White/half Asian, but her accent let me know she was Latina. On a scale of 1-10, she was at least an 8-8.5.
If you haven't had a massage from one of these places before, the massage style is called Tui Na and is different from a typical Swedish style massage. Another thing with the legit Asian foot massage places is that typically I think the workers usually expect at least a $15-$20 tip if not more or you may get a funny look.

Open after 10 pm (unless attached to a hotel/resort/gym.) Neon signs. Vaseline containers and paper towels in the therapy room. Places with "chinese massage" or "asian massage" in their name. Heavily reinforced front doors. Laundry hung up in the alley. Multiple employees regularly relaxing in the alley. Hope this helps.
If it was a “handy-massage” business as you claim, it’s not a “professional massage.” Hopefully you did not receive a massage at a place that uses trafficked people. It’s usually not that hard to tell what massage businesses are legit and which ones are run by organized crime groups.
