Peter Gilmore (born 18 May 1968) is an Australian chef.He is the current executive chef of the Quay restaurant, which has been included in The World's 50 Best Restaurants since 2009, [1] and Bennelong, at the Sydney Opera House.
The series was directed and narrated by Rachel Perkins, a filmmaker of Arrernte and Kalkadoon lineage. [1] It was produced by Blackfella Films for SBS, with investment from Screen Australia and financial support from Shark Island Foundation and Screen NSW. Charles Perkins was one of Australia's most prominent Aboriginal activists. Born in 1936 to an Arrernte woman and a Kalkadoon man in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Perkins graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts in 1966.
Perkins was born to a farming family in Bruce Rock, Western Australia. His father, Charles Collier Perkins, had moved there from Victoria in the 1920s and was also involved with Wesfarmers; he was later elected to state parliament and became a government minister. Perkins was educated at Geelong Grammar School, which his father had also attended.
