DMV/Lost Title Hi all - long story short, I just paid off my car (woo!) and my bank sent the title to the NC DMV, who says they mailed it to me over 5 weeks ago. Not surprisingly (because hey, it's the DMV), I haven't received it.

If you lost the title with the signatures to put in your name then yes use the form the prior redditor gave you the reg 227. Have that one filled out by the seller and you the buyer or your dad. Then you can do the following:

They updated the address themselves and issued a new duplicate title to that address. The title came in about 10-12 days. Mail forwarding will bounce your title back to Albany.
