My two most expensive Harbor Freight acquisitions have been a 30 ton log splitter and a Plasma Cutter.. Both have worked great except the OEM return oil filter on the log splitter clogged pretty early, I suppose from manufacturing crud left in the system, found a Purolator car oil filter that fit and all has been well since.

Has anyone here purchased and used the 15KW PTO generator from Harbor Freight? I would like to hear your thoughts before I buy one. I have used the IMD brand during hurricane Gustav and was very pleased with it but would rather not pay $2500 for one. $1100 sounds much better if the quality is reasonable.

Today at the local Harbor Freight store they had a returned 20 volt Bauer pruning saw, it looks like new and the price was $23.18 after the 20% discount so I bought it, also bought the 2 year free replacement warranty for another $23.99 and 5 pruning blades, grand total came to $59.25 .

Harbor Freight also sells some pretty darn good tools which give the high end brands a run for their money … but they do cost more than their entry level/disposable tools Yep, especially their generators which often come from the same factory as the "name" brands.
