There is a tool that you can purchase from someone like TimeSavers but I can usually remove the back by using a pocket knife to engage, at an angle, into one of the little slots on the outside edge of the back and force it to turn in the CCW direction.
A true Rolex would only have an aegler 15 jewel movement signed on the bridge or ratchet wheel post 1915. Other brands under W&D were sold at lowers costs compared to the rolex brand and would never feature a subpar 7 jewel movement. If its not signed rolex then its not a rolex. Even Rolex-Marconi signed movement is NOT a rolex.
Even though it is an old movement from the late 30s or early 40s, it is still a Rolex and prone to its idiosyncratic behavior. I serviced the movement (as gingerly as possible) and now the amplitude is very low and it runs slow. It's a 710 caliber. Manual wind, sweep second.

The pivots that turn in the jewels are lubed with HP1000. They use 2 types of Rolex specific grease: one for the pallets and one for all other thing that are lubed with Fat. You should be able to use 9504 (the blue grease) from Moebious and specifically for the pallets 9415 also from Moebius. The thick oil Rolex prescribes today is HP1000.

A good friend of mine asked me to help get his Oyster Prince running for him. I've dissembled the 1570 movement. And I have found a few problems already. The main head ache so far is the Rotor Axel/Post is loose and worn with the weight just spinning on it. The past owner or watch maker tied a piece of string underneath to hold it down lol.
