It's only happened to me about 8 or 9 times and I'm 27. I would say it's rare for a woman to ask a man out but it does happen occasionally. If looks were out of ten, then I'm about a 2.5 (as measured by match rate on online dating, assuming a normal distribution of looks and that an average-looking guy is a 5).

Yup! Guys who want girls to ask them out generally aren't interested and just want to be chased. My older sister used to fall for all of this "make the first move" advice in college and thought she would be married by 24 because of it. Nope. 36 and still single meanwhile all her friends who didn't make the first move are married and on baby #2 now.
SingleOne1. •. It happens over time: one day you're talking about stuff and suddenly your voice cracks once, but not a big deal; the following day happens again, the following day it happens two times, and so on and so forth. Little by little the voice gets deeper but you don't even "realize" that it's happening.
I’ve had guys match with me and they ask me a question to which I reply to and they reply with a very closed ended “oh that’s awesome!” Or whatever. So I try to continue the convo and say something else and they literally the SAME thing again. This has happened with 2 different guys.
