Up until about a month ago, I generally had download speeds of between 300 and 450 Mbps even during peak usage hours. At that time, Xfinity spent two days doing something to the system on our court. After that, our download speeds abruptly dropped to between 40-60 Mbps on average, sometimes going as low as 6-8 Mbps or cutting out completely.
user_zmanr3. It is a personal modem. I reset the modem through the Xfinity app and did a speed test through the Xfinity app. Same results, download speed never gets over 100 Mbps. There is no internet health test in the Xfinity app unless you have an Xfinity modem. Several months ago Xfinity was in my area doing “network enhancements” and ...
It generally sits between 500 - 900 depending on the speed test. During these drops, it'll get stuck below 1Mbps, even as low as 0.15, stuff like that. It does not resolve until I reset the router. I'm using the latest Xfinity Gateway. Sometimes it'll work for a few hours, sometimes 2 minutes, before the same issue happens.
The MB8600 is not approved for Gigabit Internet service, nor for the new upload speeds. It's approved for wired download speeds "Up to 949 Mbps". Realize that although Comcast calls some devices "Approved" and some "Recommended", for all but a few devices those designations only mean "approved/recommended for use with their Internet service ...
Internet speeds are half of what I am supposed to get. I currently have the Gigabit Plus internet plan where I am supposed to get download speeds of 1200 Mbps and upload of 200 Mbps. However, I connected my computer to the XB7 gateway modem via ethernet and I am only getting ~600 Mbps, sometimes less. This started to happen a 1-2 months ago.

If by "using LAN" you mean a device connected with an Ethernet cable, speeds limited to around 90 Mbps often mean either: 1. the device Ethernet adapter is only rated for 100 Mbps, or 2. the adapter settings limit its ...
Speed test shows very low speeds. I have the gig of internet. At least that's how it was sold to me. I run a speed test, it shows I have 49 upload speed and 49 download speed. I haven't even used said internet much due to it being near unusable. Let me know of a solution or I will cancel.
Starting in late Oct 2021, my download speeds have been cut in half regardless of the time of day. I have tried at 3:00 am, 10:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 8:00 pm. On the Xfinity speed test page, I am exceeding what I am paying for, yet actual download speeds are half. This sounds a lot like a mid-level management decision to cut costs by selling the ...
Here is some Xfinity network data I captured from the XB8. Also, I ran a speed test to the GW using the Xfi app and it showed 334.5Mb/s of 1200Mb/s. When I ran the speed test through speedtest.xfinity.com it showed 531.4Mb/s for download and 38.3Mb/s for upload.
