I totally agree. Hated the character creation in oblivion. Skyrim character creation even though not great was way better compared to oblivion. Games like dragon age inquisition has more to character creation and it is done right. If oblivion had something like that, I would agree removing features from that would be a bad thing.

Other than the appearance of more categories; ranging from an entire menu full of sliders for the nose section (including the sellion, bridge, tip, nostrils, and more) to the bone structure and facial ratios the Oblivion creator has more fine tuned and focused options than Skyrim’s.

open the console (~) and enter showracemenu. Edit your character as you wish, but don't press 'Done'. Open the console again (~), but instead of typing anything, press escape and save the game. You can't normally save when the character creation menu is open, but opening the console allows you to do so. Load that save.

The simplest way I found to combat the games level scaling issue is to just not level up immediately (don't sleep when you have a level up available). There's no limit to how high you can get your skills based on level. In theory, a level 1 character can have 100 in all skills as long as they don't sleep to level up.

As you know the Oblivion Character Overhaul changes the baked potato faces of Oblivion into slightly less baked potatoes. Massive improvement. There is also a neato compatibility patch with CCC, so character creation is as close to perfect as it'll get. Well almost. Argonians appear to have had their poor faces squashed, I'm assuming this is ...

Imperial and nord females can also be pretty, given you have the patience to play with the sliders. I like to think I'm pretty good at making good-looking characters. But, I currently don't have any characters, as I'm in the midst of planning a new one. If you want to see a good character of any race, I'd gladly take the challenge.

  11. Just got oblivion, having a blast with the character creator ......

    www.reddit.com/r/oblivion/comments/yjhbes/just_got...

Fun fact: oblivion aggravates that fox eye look naturally bc once it puts your character in the game world it vertically elongates their face. So if your characters have it going on in the first place (which I’m in the habit of making mine that way because I think it looks beautiful and matures otherwise overly cute/young looking characters ...
