Citi Retail (Best Buy, Sears, Home Depot, etc.) typically uses EQ, although they have been known for using EX sometimes. Citi Legacy cards can be 2 (or a double pull). There is no method to discern which particular card will have a single hit. Best to temper expectations and assume 2 HPs can occur, but as always, results will vary.

He basically asked me to verify my info, and told me they would get back to me in a week from email or phone with decision.

I apply for a citibank store card and it gives me the following message. we are unable to provide an instant decision on your application and will contact you with a decision in a few weeks. Is that good or bad? Sounds like a denial. At the same time, I've also heard of people waiting that long and a card just showing up one day.
