Still with my ix500, and no plans to move on. Scanning only a few pages I do with my iPhone and the ScannerPro-app. It has the option to install workflows, which send the scan into a specified notebook, tagging it with a standard set of tags. The ix500 is for the heavy lifting. If I would have to switch, it would probably be the ix1500.

The app I mentioned above is the ScanSnap Connect Application, from Fujitsu. It is for mobile devices. It connects the iPhone with the ScanSnap, allows some basic settings and scans to the iPhones memory. I then select in the app the file (pdf), call the share menu, and send the document from the ScanSnap app to the EN app on the same phone.
Best app. I don't know which is the best scan app for android. But I've tried some and then bought Droid Scan (there's also a free/light version). It helps if the phone camera is good. But if it is not, you can adjust (edges, brightness, contrast, color) the scanned paper with the scan app. Kind of paper. It doesn't matter.

Hi, i really miss the feature in the iOS app, that i can change the format my scan´s will look like in Evernote. In most cases you use it in business matters a pdf might be the most flexible one, sometimes the png or jpg is working too. But for sure not only. If you scan it actually with evernote, you allways have a png.

I have reinstalled Scan Snap completely to no avail but maybe I'll try to reinstall the EN Windows app. I'll try Scan Snap Cloud on my phone also. When installing Scan Snap on my laptop I declined using the mobile phone scanning option. I'll go that route to see if it frees up anything.
