r/skyrimmods Essential Mod List for XBOX And the maybe slightly sad but not forgotten, PS. I also have yet to build the "frequently recommended mods" which is where our alternate start mods, combat mods, perk mods, 3DNPCs, etc will live. Still, it is a MASSIVE improvement over what we had before.

Auto Input Switch and Media Keys Fix. These two are mods that I don't see people mention very often, that I personally consider both to be essential. AIS is mostly useful for controller players. It makes it so you can play using controller, but still be able to use your keyboard, whether for hotkeys or whatever.
Building Bridges (Asynchronous Multiplayer): Adds a genuine, honest-to-goodness Dark Souls style messaging system to Skyrim. Real messages from real people. You can leave up to 20 of them at a time yourself to start with, or just have fun reading all the messages everyone else has left for each other.
Haha. I'm using Skyland as well in most recent modlist and quite happy with that aio as a base for all my other visuals mods, many of which are as 8n this list here. Lots of great choices for Skyrim modding in 2024 imo. Amazing how much better mods make the game look and play.

Immersive Speech Dialogues: This mod changes the player's persuasion and intimidation dialogue lines, adding more personality and improving the roleplaying experience. An example:The player tries to convince the mercenaries to leave a town. Vanilla: ''This whole town wants you out. Leave. (Persuade)''.
Skyrim Upscaler. - There is a version for ENB, but it's on the author's Patreon. - There is also a very nice DLAA if you want nicer AA. Some other mods that may help: Private Profile Redirector. - Boots the game up faster. Project Optimization. - Adds Occlusion Culling to interiors. EFps - Exterior FPS Boost.
