I can't grant microphone access to apps. When I go to the settings page for any app requesting microphone access there is no switch to turn on. on iPhone/settings: airplay -> handoff -> camera continuity (turn it off) phone -> calls on other devices (turn it off) on MacBook/system settings. Sound -> Input -> delete iPhone from the list. Note that your iPhone will not appear in this list if camera continuity has been turned off on the iPhone.

There isn't a way to disable the microphone for your Bluetooth headphones or to choose a specific input Microphone as input to your device. Jun 3, 2021 1:33 PM in response to aubrey203. The main microphone on all iPhones is the grille to the left of the Lightning port on the bottom of the phone. Some newer phones have a second mic on the back near the camera that works with the noise cancellation feature, including the SE 2020.
Check to see if the microphones on your iPhone 6 are working correctly. If they're not, this may cause the option to not show up. I constantly have complaints from people I am talking to, saying that my audio keeps cutting out. I have occasionally had the speaker audio cutting out and the speech of the caller is intermittent.
