Jun 13, 2012. #13. Before you paint the entire car try it on your front bumper or wheels and see how they hold up. I get super paranoid with bug juice on my front since the acid might eat away your paint if you don't wash it off. But then again washing the paint a lot will also cause paint wear.

First up remove the plastic cargo door panel. Next you put a washer on the back side of the metal tab, put the hex bolt through, add a second washer, then the Jam nut and tighten it all down. Repeat this on the second handle tab. At this point add a second jam nut to the bolt and break out the dremel.

Looks like discount parts monster is about $485 shipped. Struggling with buying Depot v oem. That seems like a great price for OEM, pulls them within $100-$150 of Depo lights, might be worth the peace of mind in my opinion. Thanks for posting, now I have something to consider as well. 1996 FZJ80.
