They offer custom molded ear plugs which offer a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 31 dB. Their other offering is a custom molded high-fidelity (acoustic filter) ear plug that in theory, should reduce wind noise but let the music from my speakers to be enjoyed. However the noise reduction would equal a NRR of 12 which concerns me that the volume ...
First I looped a wire tie around the clamp that attaches to the helmet and cinched it down. This first wire tie becomes the anchor for the jack. I used three smaller wire ties to tie the jack to the first wire tie. The jack is solidly mounted. I can plug in my noise isolating earphones with just my (ungloved) left hand.
Dec 6, 2014. Oddometer: 321. So I have an SMH-10 as well as a 20S. I want to connect some wired in ear buds to the Sena device to help with noise reduction as well as clean music. Currently, I install some foam plugs and crank the Sena to 11. MY 2 Sena units won't play directly through to the headphones. I'm not interested in wiring and soldering.
1,341. Location: Alexandria Virginia and Ottawa, Canada. I replaced my original Sena SMH10 intercom with a new 10S last year. It has an earbud port, and I simply plug may earbuds into that. That's the only way I use it, so I did not install the 10S speakers. I did not have to cut the speaker wires, as they have plugs.
Wire Sena (R+) to pin (2) on the jack. Wire (+) wire from right speaker to pin (3) on the jack. Wire (+) wire from left speaker to pin (4) on the jack. Wire Sena (L+) to pin 5 on the jack. When wired this way, no headphone in the jack = audio to the speakers.
Not as quick and convenient as the helmet mounted speakers, but better for the reasons we talked about above. You could just plug the earbuds into your phone, but with the Sena you get easy volume control, the ability to skip songs and use the voice control features on the phone. #15. Roadrunner likes this.
I highly recommend Peltor/3M Skull Screw tips for your ear buds. 29 dB NRR and comfortable. I put those on a set of Shure wired monitors and they're my go-to for long highway days. I can hear music and podcasts at a higher quality and lower volume than with helmet speakers and ear plugs. They take a little more behind-the-head finagling than ...
857. Location: Tacoma, WA. Right now I use a set of the Bose Quiet Comfort 20 wired earbuds, which work great and reduce wind noise far better than earplugs, while still allowing me to listen to music and podcasts. My first set of these wore out after about 5 years. The current set is about 3 years old and still works well, but will eventually ...
They cross over to riding very well as they are made from molds of your ear ($25 done locally to you) so they fit very comfortably in your ear which means no modification to helmet at all or grab with the helmet. And the sound well is pro quality of course. There is a wide range as well to choose from. 800-589-6531.
Thanks, Bli55. 12V - It´s already possible to connect it to a power source of approx 5-15V via an internal contact (four pin Molex with two pins for plus and minus and two for a toggle addon). We haven´t created a solution for the cabling for this because the
