Mythmom has a nice story about Colgate admissions, but the fact is most kids need to be at or above the mid 50%ile of a school’s SAT unless they have a special talent. The Colgate Early Decision form says that an ED2 student will hear their decision within 4 weeks of receiving all materials. So, if you submitted everything (including the Early Decision form) before January 15, you would hear from Colgate by February 15th.
By the way, Colgate is in the National Small College Rugby Organization and made it to the championship contest, losing to Minnesota State University at Moorhead(!). Regarding the men’s team, there was no match between Colgate and Hamilton in 2015. Colgate is 1AA and Hamilton is DIII/National Small College Rugby Association.

For many students, it provides a college experience that is "traditional " - Greek life, tailgating, etc. It is more remote, and as is the case at all somewhat isolated schools, kids work hard at keeping their campus lively, so if you don’t like their way of doing that ...
