Be sure to have 2 copies if both parties want one. Some people require the buyer to show them a TN Handgun Carry Permit. This isn't required by law, but it helps the seller know the person is a TN resident and isn't a person prohibited from owning firearms. In rare cases, one party will want an FFL (gun dealer) involved.

I had attend Gunsite's 260 Shotgun Class the year before which is where I was introduced to their work. It made a remarkable difference in buckshot patterning of the ammo available at the time.
Any state that borders TN is OK for long guns. As stated above no handguns. That was the law that passed in 86, you could buy a long gun from a dealer in a neighboring state. Attached to that law was the ban on sales of full auto weapons made after 86. The NRA comprised allowing that in exchange for the bill passing.
I had a "bench" AR built with a White Oak 24" heavy barrel. It was as accurate as any bolt gun I've owned. Only dislike was that it was a 10lb AR! Sold it through TGO a few years back. The new owner was quite happy with it.
