Troubleshooting. Download Stops, hangs, only fix is to restart. When adding a new torrent either manually or from RSS, utorrent will start to download the files (in the mbits, with plenty of availability) before slowing down gradually and then stopping all together. When this happens, and I open task manager, I can see that utorrent is using a ...

    forum.utorrent.com/topic/93192-remaining-time-infinity

    1. Posted September 22, 2014. I have been using uTorrent on Mac for about 3 years now and have rarely encountered files that, upon download, tell you the remaining time is infinity. Usually canceling that torrent and selecting a different file from a different site seems to fix the problem. However, now all of my files are coming up with the ...

The open port test in uTorrent doesn't work properly (they are working on it I believe) so you don't need to worry about it. If you have the green check in the bottom right hand side of the uTorrent window, you should be fine.

  7. uTorrent Is Being Detected As A Virus

    forum.utorrent.com/topic/106882-utorrent-is-being-detected-as-a-virus

Posted November 6, 2017. Looking at the URL on the screenshot, you're downloading the current stable. What you need to do is go into the Windows Defender Antivirus settings. Somewhere in there you should be able to create an exception, possibly on some sort of white list, for uTorrent.exe. Once done, uTorrent should download just fine.

  9. Download stop at 99.9 or 99.8% - µTorrent Community Forums

    forum.utorrent.com/topic/91210-download-stop-at-999-or-998

Posted June 27, 2014. Before assuming it's incomplete, when you get 99.9% or 99.8% try this: Stop the torrent. Force Re-Check the torrent. Start the torrent. You don't have to wait for Force Re-Check to finish before doing Start. Out of all the times I've had a torrent stop at 99.x%, far more often than not it's not because pieces are missing ...

  11. download speed go around 10Mb/s - µTorrent Community Forums

    forum.utorrent.com/topic/64336-download-speed-go-around-10mbs

Basically a Byte is 8 bits. (notice the case on each word) If your average transfer rate in utorrent is about 200KB/s, then your internet speed is probably around a 2mbit. It wouldn't be unheard of for a connection to have a burst speed of 10mbit. (which may kick in once in a while)
