Today, the Florida Department of Health in Bay County (DOH-Bay) issued a weekly update on COVID-19. The percent positivity for new cases in Bay County residents has increased from 14.87 percent for the week of December 19 to 20.50 percent for the week of December 26.

The primary goal of our Immunization program is to prevent the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases in Bay County. We offer free immunizations for uninsured and underinsured children ages 1 month - 18 yrs. Underinsured includes those in which insurance does not pay for immunizations.
There are numerous community partners and private practitioners providing COVID-19 testing in Bay County. Some testing sites are free, and some require a fee. Individuals should refrain from going to local emergency rooms for testing.

The Florida Department of Health in Bay County continues to fight to protect health and safety as the rollout of COVID-19 vaccine continues. Today we will provide 550 second doses of vaccine. Depending upon doses received, this week DOH-Bay will plan to provide at least 500 first doses to our community and more than 1,000 additional second doses.
