VPN issues on MacBook Pro 2021 14" (M1 Pro chip) I have just purchased the new mac, configured it as new (no backup) and installed all my usual apps. Everything works perfectly well, except my VPN. Whenever I try to connect to a VPN, I cannot access internet. I have tried multiple VPN protocols, multiple VPN apps, and reset the WIFI configuration.

  4. FortiClient VPN connection drops-machine specific 3 months ago I got a new M1 Mac Mini now running Mac OS Ventura 13.1. Every time I use FortiClient to connect to my work VPN, the connection will randomly drop after a different amount of time each time. Sometimes it is within 30 minutes, sometimes it is after 2-3 hours.

  5. Or just follow the usual process of completely uninstalling the Forticlient app from your Mac on Monterey. Make sure to take a screenshot of the VPN settings and keep it safe before uninstalling. Then use the normal Forticlient (VPN only) free software downloaded from Forticlient's website (latest version 7.2.xxxx).

    discussions.apple.com/thread/255714951

The issue is my VPN. The VPN (same VPN on all devices) coexists perfectly with Apple News+ on my IOS devices (iPad and iPhone), but MacOS not so much. If I disable the VPN on the MacBook Pro, Apple News+ works perfectly. As soon as I install the VPN, I get a “not connected to the Internet” message and Apple News+ stops dead in its tracks.

When I search for VPN in system settings there are 6 hits, VPN is not one of them. One of the search hits is "Show VPN status in the menu bar" under Control Center.
