This application generates a random medieval city layout of a requested size. The generation method is rather arbitrary, the goal is to produce a nice looking map, not an accurate model of a city. The first version of this generator was created for the monthly challenge #17 of the proceduralgeneration subreddit.

Toy Town is a 3d-visualizer * for Medieval Fantasy City Generator. One day it may become a separate native application or a part of the generator itself, or both. *️⃣That's not entirely correct. Toy Town includes its own generator, which is actually a pretty old version of MFCG.
There is no way to remove roads from an existing map, but you can request a new map with a specific number of roads (Generate > Roads).
I'll tell you what I like about the Towns and Villages generator. City Generator: - Choose the number of routes. - Have quarters. - Have the possibility of integrating a coat of arms. - Add markers. - Have citadels. - Park assets. - Assets of more distinguished buildings (gray black). - Have the possibility to model the map.
Districts get proper names based on super-complicated historical and cultural simulation of the city life. Districts get random proper names. The algorithm which generates district names is pretty simple, much simpler than the one which constructs city names.

Export to PNG. You can now save a map as a hi-res PNG file. In most cases its resolution will be higher than you can get by taking a screenshot unless you are using one of those 4k/5k monitors. The exporter supports all the visual options including hatching, block view etc.
