Barberton chicken, also known as Serbian fried chicken, [1] is a style of fried chicken native to the city of Barberton in Summit County, Ohio. It is a distinctive Serbian-American style served in several mainly Serbian -owned restaurants in Barberton and nearby Norton and increasingly in other surrounding communities.
[3] [4] Filming occurred over a 14-month period (2005–2006) at the Barberton Raceway in Barberton, Ohio. With most of cast and crew working for free, the film was made on a micro-budget of under $10,000, [3] and was one of the first independent films shot by cinematographer Christopher Parker on the Panasonic DVX100 digital video camera.
