Butch Laswell. Sherman Dwayne " Butch " Laswell (October 12, 1958 – March 10, 1996) [1] was an American stunt performer and professional motorcycle stunt rider. Laswell died after sustaining injuries during a live stunt in front of a crowd of spectators, while attempting to carry out a dangerous motorcycle jump in Mesquite, Nevada.
The crash occurred in 1982 in San Francisco, California when a van ran a red light and crashed into the vehicle that Janet, her husband Paul Gregor, actress Mary Martin and her manager were in. Janet died of her injuries two years thereafter in a Palm Springs, California, hospital along with pneumonia and other ailments.
