iPod Video (5.5 gen) not appearing in windows/device manager/iTunes. Recently picked up a refurbished iPod off the internet. When I went to sync it with iTunes, iPod didn't appear. I checked in device manager thinking I needed to update a driver but it wasn't there either. I'm on a Dell XPS 15 (windows) using the factory USB hub to connect.
Putting an iPod classic into disk mode: Hold MENU+SELECT on the iPod for about 6 seconds until it resets, then switch to PLAY+SELECT as soon as the Apple logo appears, again for about 6 seconds to put the machine in disk mode. In the iPod screen sidebar, click Movies under Settings. To the right, the iPod's Movies settings screen is shown, where you tell iTunes how to sync movies to the iPod. Check the box for Sync Movies. The list of videos in your iTunes Movies library that can be synced to the iPod is shown there.
