On it's first scan it found the problem in the folder that hung McAfee, I.E the syswow64\ folder. the adware ws syswow6432node\SPeeQ\AbsoluteHTTP. McAfee lost one customer, AVG gained one. I still have all my files. Doubt if McAfee care somehow! Thanks for trying to help, much appreciated.

Most of those 3rd party Anti-virus software packages are extremely hard to remove, the uninstaller does not fully remove them, that is why each of the developers also provide a removal tool, you can download the official McAfee Removal tool from this link, run that on your PC, then restart your PC:
Press the Windows key, type: msconfig and press Enter; Click on System Boot and check the options: Secure Boot and Network; Click Apply and restart the PC; In safe mode, try uninstalling Webadvisor by McAfee; If not possible, try downloading Revo Uninstaller via safe mode and try removing Webadvisor by McAfee;

THOUSANDS of people are reporting when running a virus scan, with McAfee, after upgrading to Windows 10, the scan is unable to complete, constantly stops at 97 or 98% every time. I called McAfee, and they tell me Microsoft was to offer a ...
