forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/drexel-vs-vcu.199152

While I don't know how much VCU is, attending Drexel is very doable for much less than $60,000/year. Tuition is about $36,000, and if you live with a roomate or 2, your rent + utilities will be about $400-500 per month, or less. Don't confuse the amount of money financial aid will give you for actual costs.

Drexel has a lot of great areas. In my opinion, political science isn’t one of Drexel’s strengths. I have not heard anything bad about the program, and I know many people in the program that like it, but when you’re talking political science, if there is a big financial difference, I myself would choose Temple over Drexel, and in some disciplines, Temple is much much more highly regarded.

Average salary for a six-month Drexel Co-Op is $16,500. Over the course of three co-ops, this majorly reduces the cost of school.
.
4) Drexel has a 5 year BS/MS program in every major in Engineering. This track is essentially the quickest way to a master’s degree among pretty much all engineering schools.
.

The admissions staff is pretty evenly split between faculty and staff at both campuses.

    FP9 September 1, 2009, 6:31pm 2.
Drexels business school is better and their coop is great. Though, Temple is a top sports marketing school. Temple is in a MUCH worse area than Drexel is. Granted, I wouldnt reccomend walking around either campus alone at night, but Temple is in a significantly worse neighborhood.

  11. Drexel Reputation | Student Doctor Network

    forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/drexel-reputation.205659

Drexel never had a bad reputation for it's academics, it was a financial issue (which did impact it, but no one was ever saying Drexel wasn't educating physicians well). If you have your heart set on being a very high level academic physician with a big lab and feel as though you need to get started on that path in med school, Drexel may not be ...
