Jan 4, 2016. #1. Hello, I have Three Surface Pro's, all three have the same issue when upgrading from WIN 8.2 to WIN 10. The Wireless network adapter can be seen in Device Manager, and shows it is working fine. But there is not adapter in the network / Connections window, meaning when i try to create a new Internet connection it sees no adapter ...

  3. For those who have trouble with SSL VPN

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/for-those-who-have-trouble-with-ssl-vpn.3840

Member. Feb 27, 2013. #1. The Surface Pro is a 64 bit machine with a 64 bit OS. For a couple of people I've encountered, this has presented a problem in setting up an SSL VPN. (If you don't know what that is, go ahead and ignore the rest of this post.) With Cisco, Palo Alto, WatchGuard, and Sonicwall, the basic rule is "64=64."

  4. VPN Problem Surface Pro 2 - Microsoft Surface Forums

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/vpn-problem-surface-pro-2.9454

Would appreciate any links you know of regarding connecting Surface Pro 2 though a Cisco VPN. I've seen Surface Pro 1 running on our VPN but not the Pro 2 and I know IT has just starting purchasing the Pro 2. I'm now also wondering if there were Cisco VPN issues that were unique to any Surface Pro 2. We are running Windows 8.1.

  5. HELP : SP3, WIN10, DOCK, No Local Area Connection

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/help-sp3-win10-dock-no-local-area-connection.17890

Seems if you had the Cisco VPN Client installed in Windows 8.1 and then upgraded to Windows 10 the issue I'm having can happen. One solution is to roll back to 8.1, remove Cisco VPN and then update to Windows 10. The command line fix noted in the article did not work for me as the reg entry could not be found - HELP

  6. Terrible Internet Speed in Windows 10 - Microsoft Surface Forums

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/terrible-internet-speed-in-windows-10.13951

After the update my connection went to 65Mpbs down and 20 Mbps up just like it should be and has been under W8.1. Yesterday evening it was 1-5 Mbps down and .4 Mbps up under W10. The only thing that changed was the update to Defender. Defender must have been rejecting packets thinking they were viruses / virii.

  7. No WiFi in Win10 Pro (1903) Windows Sandbox

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/no-wifi-in-win10-pro-1903-windows-sandbox.24790

I (seemingly) successfully updated my Surface Pro 6 to v.1903 two days ago, and after some initial fumbles, now have Windows Sandbox enabled and it seems to open just fine. However, there is no WiFi access within Sandbox. Accessing Settings for Network & Internet, the list on the left is...

Last testing I got is like these (25% screen brightness, wifi on, time is measured from 100% battery until it shuts down by itself around 5% battery life): 1) 5.5 - 6.5 hours battery life for normal office use (using excel, words, check email, 1/2 hour online video) 2) 5 - 5.5 hours battery life for non stop youtube video/online video.

The bigger issue is that they would not be able to "rebox them". Then they'd be in all kind of legal trouble. any surface factory shipped with windows 10 would have to obtain brand new packaging, as the packaging states windows 8.1 on the back and as such would be false advertising (not that companies do not do this COUGH Shuttle XPC COUGH COUGH COUGH!)

  11. LinkedIn tile in Windows 10 | Microsoft Surface Forums

    www.surfaceforums.net/threads/linkedin-tile-in-windows-10.22270

I'm still learning the SP4 and today been trying to get a LinkedIn tile next to Facebook and Twitter in the Start menu of Windows 10. I'm shocked that there isn't an app. The best I've done is to save a Chrome tile. Is there a better way or even a way to change the icon for a Chrome start...
