  2. minelab pro find 35 vs Garrett Carrot - Friendly Metal Detecting...

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/minelab-pro-find-35-vs-garrett...

The profind 35 just toggles +key to increase sensitivity and - key to decrease sensitivity. so sensible and much fewer button pushes. On the Carrott I would often miss the desired setting and have to go around the complete cycle again. In my opinion the Minelab profind 35 is a better design. and the off key to turn off and on key to turn on on ...

  3. Knee pads? - Friendly Metal Detecting Forum

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/knee-pads.221018

    211. Oct 10, 2015. #3. Knee Pads are a waste because of everything you said they do. So buy a pair of Deluth fire hose pants, has a bunch of big pockets they hold up to the wear, they are water resistant but not waterproof, I use them each hunt so I don't ruin my other clothes. So I don't care about stains on them.

New Braunfels, TX. Apr 22, 2010. #5. The Troy machines are very similar to some of the Tesoro machines. Both are good quality machines that seem to last forever. You made a good purchase, but put a rain cover on the control box. It might be water resistant, but there's no point in taking a chance just to save $10.

  5. Garrett AT Max vs Minelab 800 - Friendly Metal Detecting Forum

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/garrett-at-max-vs-minelab-800.308984/...

Sep 10, 2024. #30. Equinox 800 is a multi-frequency and is a huge step up. Multi-frequency allows you to hunt mineralized ground better and saltwater beaches. Single frequencies just really struggle there. Never had a problem with mineralized ground. I rarely hunt beaches, but never had any issues there either.

  6. Garrett AT Pro vs. Garrett AT Max - Friendly Metal Detecting...

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/garrett-at-pro-vs-garrett-at-max.292911

Oct 27, 2021. #1. The Garrett AT (All-Terrain) series of metal detectors features the Garrett AT Pro, the Garrett AT Gold, and the Garrett AT Max. The most common concern among potential buyers is figuring out the differences between the Garrett AT Pro vs. Max metal detectors. When detectorists are trying to figure out whether or not they ...

  7. Which one to buy | Friendly Metal Detecting Forum

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/which-one-to-buy.301141

    A. Both the coil and rod are waterproof and can be cleaned with fresh water and mild soap. The battery box and control box are not water proof, but are water resistant. Never lift a wet coil above the height of the control box as water can run down the inside of the rod damaging the electronics.

  8. Fisher F22 vs Garrett Ace 300 | Friendly Metal Detecting Forum

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/fisher-f22-vs-garrett-ace-300.232458

The Ace 300 runs at a slightly higher frequency than the F22. And the Ace 300 is a significant improvement over the Ace 250. I believe both (Ace 300 & Fisher F22) and will give approximately the same performance. But that coil looks so easy to pinpoint the targets even without using the pinpoint feature.

  9. Anyone know anything of new Nokta - Friendly Metal Detecting...

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/anyone-know-anything-of-new-nokta.307398

Pro is waterproof, other likely water "resistant". I believe one if not both comes with headphones, that is amazing. My nearby metal detector store owner says Nokta is embroiled in a lawsuit with Minelab over patent rights regarding multi frequency technology and Nokta seems to be waging war with affordable machines that may out- perform many ...

  10. My thoughts on the Minelab Manticore after 50 hours and beyond!

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/my-thoughts-on-the-minelab-manticore...

I don't know of any headphones that are wireless and waterproof that come with a detector. Now some maybe more waterproof than others. As far as I know the 105 wireless Minelab phones are the only wireless that work with it at the moment. You can go wired and have many waterproof options though.

  11. GPX5000 on the beach | Friendly Metal Detecting Forum

    metaldetectingforum.com/index.php?threads/gpx5000-on-the-beach.297756

Mmmm I wish Minelab would bring out a PI with gold technology for the salt water & beaches,5000- they are not waterproof, and they have solid type land coils, no good in water, floaters will pass for streams, I did get a reply from ML on my thread, he passed it on to his development team, praying for one in the next two years, Earl
